Extract:
Something else happened to the Queen that contributed to her understanding. She felt the sacredness of the mountain. She was inspired with awe and willing to do anything to serve the mountain, to please the spirit of the mountain. That meant attentive listening, so that everything and everybody else was secondary. So that was what had fired Peter and that was why he did not seem to pay attention to her, but he had brought her to the mountain and that was what had been demanded of him, his task. Now he could relax and she needed to be alert. But could he relax? The journey up the mountain was now his also and that is what he could and needed to pay attention to now. So they were truly companions on the road to the highest aim. Once more how different it all was from what she had anticipated when she went out as the Queen with her servant.
Edith Wallace died in 2004.
